The Palexpo site is located at a railway and road traffic hub in the very heart of Europe, just a 10-minute walk from Geneva Airport and its railway station and a 15-minute bus ride from the city centre. Trains operating at regular intervals take only 10 minutes to run between the airport and the centre.

By car

To reach the Palexpo, take highway exit No 7 (Highway exit No 6 is closed)

Parking possibilities are available directly at the Palexpo (P12). More than 2,800 parking spaces are available to visitors and exhibitors directly on the Palexpo site.

The P12 car park also has designated disabled parking.

By bus

Efficient ground transfers are available from Geneva Palexpo to the city centre and the main train station.

N° 5 bus (Hôpital – Palexpo – Aéroport) links Geneva Palexpo with the City Centre in 20 minutes and runs frequently from early morning to late in the evening.

By train

The train is an easy and hassle-free way of getting to Palexpo, allowing you to avoid the Geneva traffic jams. Geneva Airport Station is a 15-minute walk from Palexpo Exhibition Hall 1.

Transport Card

Visitors staying in a hotel in the Canton of Geneva will benefit from the “Geneva Transport Card”, at no additional cost. This personal and non-transferable pass is established upon the visitor’s check-in at the hotel of choice, enabling its holder the use of the public transportation network without restriction (bus, train and boat). This card is valid for the entire duration of their stay including, the departure day.

Travelling by Plane to Geneva

Geneva lies at the heart of Europe. Geneva airport is located outside the city limits and offers ideal connections to the rest of the world.           

From Geneva airport to the city centre

The airport is located at nearly 4 km from Geneva city centre. It is easily reachable by train or by bus using the united network of public transport Unireso.

The airport railway station has direct access to the airport Check-in and Arrival levels. All trains stop at Geneva-Cornavin station (city centre).

The Geneva International Airport offers every passenger arriving in Geneva a UNIRESO ticket free of charge, valid for 80 minutes in Geneva public transportation (trains, buses, trams, and boat). The ticket may be obtained from the machine in the baggage collection area at the Arrival level. A valid air transportation document (Boarding Pass or Plane Ticket) must be presented in the event of ticket inspection on the network.
