Press & Media

Journalists and medical writers wishing to participate in the meeting, can apply for a free registration, provided that they register with a valid press card and a letter of assignment from the represented media organisation.

Press and Media Guidelines

Before registering, please read carefully our Press and Media Guidelines. In this document, you will find extensive details regarding distinction of press, access to the sessions and exhibition, information for PR and communication agencies, and our filming, photographing, and recording policies.

Compliance with the press and media guidelines is assumed upon registration and considered mandatory for all registered journalists and media representatives.

Accreditation requirements

A press badge will be issued upon verification of media credentials. Journalists who wish to attend the 26th EADV Congress need to present a letter of assignment and an official press card for recognised:

  • Journalists/reporters
  • Freelance journalists (must declare who they are representing)
  • Online media
  • Broadcast media (TV, radio)
  • Editors
  • Medical journals
  • Newsletters
  • Medical blogs

Freelance journalists: Freelance journalists, who cannot provide an assignment letter, are required to submit a press card and one by-lined medical/health/science article published within the last year or coverage from the previous year’s congress (if applicable).

Technical crews: Photographers or camera crew members accompanying approved media representatives can obtain a Press badge provided they fulfil the media registration form criteria but will not have access to embargoed material. It’s necessary to indicate which journalists the technical crews will be accompanying (either on the registration form, email, or at the registration desk).

Company & PR Agency Representatives: Representatives engaged in the following are NOT entitled to register as media and receive a Press badge but are welcome to register as industry participants:

  • Pharmaceutical/Cosmetologic companies
  • Financial or Marketing department
  • PR, Advertising, communications and media agencies
  • Sales and marketing departments
  • Financial departments
  • Pharmaceutical companies


Access & Services*

Press registration includes the following services:

  • Access to scientific sessions
  • Full press working area (the EADV will provide only basic catering in the Press Room – food corners are available inside the Congress venue)
  • Access to the press conferences
  • Use of the interview room
  • Press Programme
  • Interviews arranged with EADV spokespersons and speakers, upon availability

*PLEASE NOTE: Filming and photography are not allowed under any circumstances in the exhibition space. Filming and photography may be allowed in the scientific sessions with the approval of the EADV and the session’s Chair and speakers. For the Satellite Symposia and Meet‐The‐Experts Sessions the approval of the organiser and all speakers is requested in addition to the EADV’s. To request permission for video recording or photography for a session, please fill in the Filming Request Form and contact P. Blaes ()

Important: Following the Swiss regulations, the EADV will not allow registered Press to access the Exhibition and any Satellite Symposia or Meet-the-Experts Sessions (unless marked as “open to all” in the Industry Programme).

Registration

Registration for press and media is now open.

To register as a journalist you need to submit the following documents:

  • Press Registration form
    • Scanned copy of your press card
    • A letter of assignment
    • Signed copy of the Embargo Policy

The EADV Press Office reserves the right to withhold approval of press registration if the applicant does not satisfy the criteria for press registration or if the media registration form is sent without the requested supporting documents. The EADV Press Office reserves the right to bar from a current or future meeting any person who provides false information about their affiliation or credentials.

Embargo Policy

In light of increased attention in how research results are released publicly, the EADV is clarifying its policies governing the disclosure of scientific research results contained in late-breaking clinical trial presentations and abstracts/posters.
